Moon Hill Residence
Six Moon Hill, Lexington, Massachusetts
This home was originally designed by Norman and Jean Fletcher in 1948, in a mid-20th century interpretation of the International Style made famous by their partner Walter Gropius. Over the years the house had succumbed to some system failure and fallen into disrepair.
TDG has worked with two subsequent owners to restore and renovate this unique structure. A program of primary restoration replaced the radiant heated concrete floors, installed insulated glass, removed interim systems and finishes and insulated the enclosure where possible. A new kitchen and baths were installed, designed in the spirit of the original. Archival documents were consulted as they became available.
This is an ongoing project currently in phase three.
